Update on COVID-19 Restrictions at MMYC as at 06 January 2022

Published Thu 06 Jan 2022

As a result of the current increasing COVID case numbers and the increased transmissibility of the new variant, the Victorian Government has issued the following regulation.

From 11.59pm tonight, Thursday 6th January 2022 all Victorians aged 8 and up are subject to density limits of 1 person per 2 square metres in all indoor hospitality settings.

The club is a licenced hospitality venue, so in practice this means:

Upstairs hall:       Maximum of 98 people

Sutton Lounge:   Maximum of 22 people (plus 2 bar staff)

BBQ area:          Maximum of 22 people

Previous restrictions as below also still apply.

Masks are required in the clubrooms including the BBQ area, unless eating or drinking.

As a recreational venue and as a licenced hospitality venue, members, guests and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated. There are three exceptions to this requirement:

Age: People under 18 years of age are currently exempt.

Medical: The holder of a medical exemption certificate provided by the Australian Immunisation Register is exempt.

Location: Semi-public areas such as the grassed areas and the moorings that are accessed from around MMYC are not governed by this requirement. Other government directives may apply to these areas.

QR sign-ins still apply.
