Cup Day 2022

Cup Day at the Club was a fun day even though the weather could have been better. We were in the barbecue area and Sutton lounge so it was quite warm and comfortable. People brought their own food and snacks to share, and a good time was had by all.

 

Two sweeps were run. In the $5 sweep the winner was Mich, with yours truly coming second, Anna third, and wooden spooner Sue getting her money back. For the $2 sweep, Sue was first, Kaye second, Stuart third, and last place, having her money returned, Helen.

 

Michael (sax), Graham (guitar), Helen (ukelele) and Stuart (guitar) provided some great music. The rest of us joined in a singalong, perhaps with more enthusiasm than actual singing talent.

 

Many thanks to Stuart for running the bar, Helen for organising the sweep, and Sue providing food and flowers, including some very popular chocolate cake with strawberries and cream.
