Guests at the trivia night were treated to a cosy and warm atmosphere thanks to the cheery fire set by Greg. It proved to be a popular location when people first arrived and wanted to warm up.
The Victorian Government has introduced the Marine Safety Regulations 2023 to improve safety for Victorian boaters.
The new regulations apply from June 11, 2023 and replace the now-expired Marine Safety Regulations 2012.
Safe Transport Victoria will work with the industry and the public to ensure they are able to meet the requirements
June 6 Members Meeting will be a Flare Night. Education Officers from Safe Transport Victoria - Maritime will be delivering a safety seminar on how to correctly use and dispose of Hand-held orange and red distress flares inclusive of a question-and-answer session. The seminar will conclude with a live demonstration of a hand-held red & orange flare. See the attached flyer.

The first Sutton Lounge for 2023 proved to be a popular evening, with the largest attendance for some time. The weather was perfect, so many took advantage of that and sat outside.
Fortunately, the BOM’s prediction was wrong and we had a lovely sunny evening to enjoy our annual Christmas party. The island looked fabulous (thanks Greg), and members, children and friends were able to see the island looking its best.
Cup Day at the Club was a fun day even though the weather could have been better. We were in the barbecue area and Sutton lounge so it was quite warm and comfortable. People brought their own food and snacks to share, and a good time was had by all.
Proceedings began with the formal part of the day, and Steve Beashel performing the MC role. Commodore Jamie Dorrity welcomed everyone, and daughter Georgia gave us a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.
