Peter Cummins and Adam Craze recently purchased "Firefly" from Thomas Vesley. A recent start up down near Beaumaris fouled the prop with several metres of synthetic rope - not hemp! Peter made an unsuccessful dive in his wetsuit and only managed to free - ze himself ! With quite a deal of rope still wrapped around the prop Peter secured a tow back to the mooring.
Firefly was slipped on 18 July overnight to remove the rope, Gurney the hull and conduct a survey for a
major refit. She's expected back on the slip in August.
