Check that PFD
The word is out that the Police are targeting PFD's aboard vessels that they inspect.
So its worth noting that in Victoria, PFD 1’s manufactured before 1996 are no longer compliant (Now ILLEGAL) and MUST be REPLACED.
Post 1996 PFD 1’s manufactured to the listed standards will be recognised for many years to come and in the majority of cases existing PFD 1s will not need to be replaced as long as they are serviceable and serviced by an authorised service centre (inflatable types)
