Roast beef @ Beuie
The weather forecast for Saturday had looked good for a few days, so it was an easy decision to head down to the club and get out on the water. As various skippers gathered on the Island around 11:30, it was soon decided that lunch down at Beuie Pier was the go. David on Boss Lady was offering a Roast to those who were interested.
So Paul headed off to sail down aboard Allouette followed by Graeme on Samantha and myself aboard Nina. For a while there, Peter Banham looked like he might break a promise to do some painting at home and tag along. But in the end he dragged himself off home, consoling himself with the prospect of a full days sailing on Sunday.
In perfect conditions, the trip down to Beuie pier took Graeme and I about 20 minutes and soon after Paul arrived, having picked up a nice breeze soon after he departed the creek. The jetty at BMYS is a great spot to pull in to, with easily access and nice clear water so you can assure yourself that it's deep enough. Even the fishermen there don't get too upset !
Not long after David and crew arrived and Roast Beef and potatoes were on offer to all in attendance. A bit over an hour later the weather started to turn, so having eaten our fill everyone pushed off and headed back to the creek. A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Thanks for your hospitality David.
