| The word has just gone out via Email urging members to join in the final Twilight Race for the year to be held this Thursday. With ideal conditions forecast it will no doubt be an enjoyable evening. So another glorious Sunset, like the one in the photo sent in last week by John, will be enjoyed by all. | |

There's been recent sightings of sharks just off beachs around the bay - some of them quite close to our own Mordi beach. Gary from the South Wall has sent in a couple of shots reportedly taken at Mentone. May pay to keep a sharp look out if you're taking a dip in the near future. |  |

| Over for the Wooden Boat Show a week or two back, the Adelaide based ship One & All is still here and conducting overnight charters to spots around the bay. Gary was lucky enough to get in close for a good look on Friday morning as she was moored off Parkdale beach. |  |

Hard to Stay Away

John's sent in this great shot taken this week on a beach near the club. He and Lorrraine drive around Beach Rd every day on their way to and from work and lately with the great weather, the tempation to drop in and take the boat out on their way home has been just too great. With a boat named Beats Workin', it's a wonder they even get to work in the first place! |

Perfect Weather

The perfect weather across the weekend made it easy to find a reason to get out on the water. Saturday saw Peter and Gerry on Moondancer relaxing down under the cliffs at Beuie amongst boats from all over the place. Not long after lunch Marcus turned up aboard Dundee all decked out in party balloons and with a tribe of kids onboard for a birthday party. Seemed like he'd have had his hands full for the afternoon! |  |

With a long weekend ahead of them last week, John, Heather Mark and Jenny decided to head up to Williamstown for a few nights. The wild weather on Saturday afternoon turned it into a real adventure for them but by all accounts they had a great stay. |  |

An Important notice from Vice Commodore Des - "On the Tuesday at approximately 9-15am - at a location S 38 01 991 E 145 02 779 - JayJay with a little help from her crew gave birth to a buoy. It was left soon after bobbing around for all intrepid sailors to see ! " |
Tall Ship

| On Feb 26th the Tall Ship Stad Amsterdam made her back way down the bay to continue her historic voyage and a number of members such as Mic aboard Moonlighting were lucky enough to catch sight of her. Read more about her visit to Melbourne here. |
