Dancing in 2010
Despite the unsettled weather, the New Years Eve function was a great success. It was kept simple, with everyone bringing either a meal or just some nibbles, as well as their own drinks. The fabulous music provided by Blue Azz meant that it was virtually impossible not to get up and dance. Thanks to Phillip for arranging them for the night. Their music really helps to provide the kind of atmosphere that ensures a good time. The lucky prize of two bottles of wine was won by Tania who was able to put aside her fears and find the (plastic) spider under a chair! It was nice to meet some newcomers who had seen the event advertised on the web page and decided to come along. We hope they may want to continue their association with MMYC as social members.
Thanks to those who attended. It's your participation that makes us Club, rather than just a meeting place for people with boats. Particular thanks to those who stayed behind to help with clearing up too. It was greatly appreciated.
