A steady breeze from the NW got the fleet off to a good start on Sunday for the first event of the Summer Competition. Eight boats took part and despite the fact that the wind dropped off for a while mid race, all skippers completed the race to earn their first points for the year. Check the results of the event here.

Apart from the Sunday competition, the club will once again run a Twilight Series - this year with a difference. Instead of a race every second Thursday, an additional set of races the "Michael Oakliegh Series" will be held every other Thursday evening as well. This will be a casual event with the winner receiving a bottle of wine as a prize. It's been suggested that the prize be consumed amongst all the competitors on the evening - perhaps out on the water!

Race 1 of the Twighlight Series has been moved to October 8th with the first of the Michael Oakley series a week later on the 15th.
