Old_manifold
As reported earlier in the week, Andy's been hard at work down at the slipway every night this week getting through the annual list of tasks. The main unexpected item that surfaced was that the manifolds needed replacing.

New Manifold

Having removed the old ones and recovered from the shock, and then with a bit of advice from others in the know, Andy quickly tracked down a new set of manifolds. So by Wednesday night when these shots were taken he was ready for the install. "Haven't really palyed with engines since I was a young bloke" he said but all the same he seemed pretty confident.

Jetsam

 

Meanwhile just below him the Flotsam & Jetsam from this week's high water had pushed well up into the slipway. There'll need to be a bit of shovelling ahead of the Savage rolling back into the water later in the week !
