The new boating season starts again in September and winter is the time to do some maintenance and consider - RECREATIONAL BOATING AND SAFETY

At the general meeting on July 7th a special program of Safety Procedures will be presented. The anticipated program will include:

  • Recreational Boating Safety overview for all boats.
  • Minimum safety equipment requirements - Guest speaker from MMYC Power Boats
  • Safe yachting – Maintenance – pre voyage check list - Guest speaker from MMYC yachting
  • Boating from Mordialloc. The do’s and don’ts, how to handle the creek entrance, what to do if caught out at sea afternoon sea ‘breezes’.

We  particularly invite all MMYC boat owners and Mooring holders to make a special effort to attend this meeting. Our boats are worth a lot of money and must be properly looked after  BUT

A Single Life is irreplaceable and precious

Safety on the Water is THE most important aspect of boating.
