The Day After Christmas
Sunday on the Island turned out to be a busy one. With good weather forecast quite a number had turned up with family and friends and were heading out onto the water. Carol started off with the same intentions but didn't quite make it that far. She was spotted catching up on a bit of sleep following her Christmas celebrations.
In the main slip, Des, David and a few willing helpers were fitting a new skeg to Rockon, up for her bi-annual maintanence. The teamwork amongst the assembled crew was something to behold !! Graeme and Gary continued to work on their boats and Peter came up from the South Wall to work on Firefly in the mooring temporarily vacated by Rockon.
A few skippers decided to cruise down to Half Moon Bay but once out on the water it seemed like it was all too hard and everyone spent the morning just saying hello and sailing up and down not far off the pier. Boats spotted out were Pelican, Quicksilver, J Mac, Silver Cloud, Bonitos Treasure and Nina.
