Summer Series Race 5

The final race of the Summer Series to be held in 2009 was run last Sunday. Conditions were overcast and with a SW wind of varying strengths some found it challenging. |

| Well Jenny has a new camera and on Sunday following the race and Christmas Breakup she managed to give it a trial run by snapping some familiar faces that were hanging about the Island. Nice work Jen ! |
Last Race for '09

Once agian the Thurday Evening Twilight race had to be cancelled this week due to wild weather. That leaves just one more race for '09 to be held this coming Sunday and race organiser Mike Montgomery has invited all members to join in. Skippers who wish to compete (or just cruise) and don't have a crew are urged to contact Mike and he'll arrange one. The race start is scheduled for 10:30 AM with the briefing one hour before. There'll be end of year drinks and food for all following the race. |

| Congratulations to Des and Wayne who came 4th in the Wackett Nav Trial held last Sunday down at Beuie. Fifteen boats ran the course. Only seconds seperated the 3rd, 4th & 5th places and if you ask navigator Wayne he'll tell you that if wasn't for a few yatchies off Sandi getting in the way, they'd have done a lot better! |  |
