Twight Race 4
We had ten yachts racing Thursday night. The wind was moderate and the weather on the water was sensational. One of the encouraging things of the evening was that we had a few of the more experienced sailors go out with different skippers. David Moate went out with Paul Cahir on Alloutte. Vicki and Steve Patterson accompanied Jim McAlpine on JMAK.
Also we had a guest sailor - the local agent for Roly Tasker Sails - Derek Warne - a very experienced sailor on all types on yachts. As part of a discussion I'm having with him about promoting Roly Tasker sails at our club, he has offered to go out with any of our skippers in a race to pass on a few pointers. Last night he was on my yacht and the results speak for themselves.
As well Derek is prepared to hold a few group training sessions. As soon as we get this organised I'll let you know of the dates.
