Kites and Trapeze

Race 3 of the Summer Competition was held on Sunday in fantastic weather with a N-NE wind creating great conditions for racing. Right from the start crews were either out on the trapeze or hanging over the side as the fleet headed North with the wind off their beam.
Then on the back leg it was time for some color as the spinnakers came out. Conditions varied on that leg allowing those with a good angle to sneak up a place or two. With only one circuit of the course set to complete the race, most crews were back enjoying a cool drink before it got too hot. Ruffcut took first place in both divisions for this event.
